Rescuing excess food
Hell hath no fury like a chefs scorn
Gee, if you didn't know better while watching this promo ad you really wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of Matt Moran. It does seem to make a good point by the end of it if such things do happen in the industry — although I'm wondering if it could have been done with less swearing? I saw this ad mentioned on twitter today so was curious to know what it was all about.
Basically it's an ad to promote Reap which is a regional food rescue toolkit developed by OzHarvest.
Basically the key principles of the food rescue are:
1. You collect surplus good food from a food donor on behalf of an agency
2. Food is to be provided by the food donor for free
3. Food is to be delivered to the agency for free
4. The agency must provide the food to the people they serve for free
2. Food is to be provided by the food donor for free
3. Food is to be delivered to the agency for free
4. The agency must provide the food to the people they serve for free
It all sounds like a great cause and I hope it's a successful campaign to heighten awareness and gets people involved from all parts of the community. Personally I hate food going to waste so I fully support such initiatives.
